We welcome you to Tracys Danes. We are a small boutique AKC Great Dane breeder situated on 5 1/2 acres in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago.
I am a huge animal lover. I have not only owned dogs, horses, and cats but have also been around breeding my entire life. The Great Dane always intrigued me, which led me to adopt my first Great Danes back in the early 1980’s.

Years later, I found myself longing for that gentle giant that stole my heart decades early. I started my mission to find a reputable breeder. While searching to find the perfect breeder and the perfect Dane puppy to fit my family, I experienced frustration as I found that a lot of breeder’s philosophy, breeding programs, lack of knowledge, and the care that they provided to these amazing animals was less than I expected. I wanted to change what I saw, and knew I could do things differently than other breeders out there. This led me to take the monumental responsibility of breeding these beautiful creatures into my own hands.

For over a year, I researched Great Danes worldwide, going back through years of pedigrees, making sure the dogs that I would eventually import from Europe had impeccable health, temperament, and longevity. I had to make sure that I was furthering only the best of this incredible breed. This would lead me to acquire my gorgeous Danes: Hawk, Veronique, and Aysa. All three having impeccable bloodlines, parents, and ancestors possessing multiple-time champions and repeated world champions. These 3 beautiful babies are what started my venture in breeding the Great Dane.

My Danes are our family. They live with me, my husband and our children in our beautiful home. They are very spoiled; living the life of luxury running free on our 5 1/2 acres, joining our friends and families for parties and holidays, swimming in our pool, attending our children’s sporting events, laying on the couch, watching movies, and overall just being one with our family.

Those who know me understand that these magnificent dogs are my world. I am very careful in choosing families for my pups making sure they only go to homes where they will treated as I treat my own.
